Description

In Romania, meatballs are an essential part of the kitchen and are prepared at home quite frequently with simple ingredients. The ceramic recipient comes in a wooden box.

Recipe

  • 1 kg of minced pork or mixed with beef
  • two eggs
  • two medium onions finely chopped
  • a medium-sized carrot grated or finely chopped
  • a thick slice of bread soaked in water beforehand
  • flour
  • 25g seasoning for meatballs.

Mix all the ingredients well, then portion the composition thus obtained and form the meatballs. Dust them with flour, flatten them and fry them in hot oil. The recipe varies from region to region. Generally, after they are formed, the meatballs are fried in hot oil until they become golden brown and tender, but in some areas of the country they are also baked in the oven or boiled in tomato sauce to accentuate their taste and make them juicier.

salt, breadcrumbs (wheat flour, water, salt, yeast), powdered mustard, sweet paprika, black pepper, parsley, dill, thyme, garlic.
